Das ominöse 'Schöne'?!
Schon in der Antike, vor allem bei Platon ist das Schöne als metaphysisches Prinzip, als Faktor der universellen Ordnung zu finden. Mit Descartes und der Zugrundelegung des Subjekts als Ausgangspunkt jeder Erkenntnis, verfällt der ursprüngliche Anspruch des Schönen, unabhängig vom Betrachter zu exisiteren. Auch Humes' Definition, die Schönheit liege im Auge des Betrachters, hat es dem Schönen erschwert, sich formal und inhaltlich selbstständig weiterzuentwickeln. Die Darstellung bzw. der Versuch einer Darstellung des Schönen verlor als wesentliches Merkmal der Kunst an Boden. Unser Ziel: Eine Annäherung an den Schönheitsbegriff. Der Versuch, einen Kriterienkatalog zu schaffen, kann doch nur scheitern?
